You can serve this delicious dipping sauce with appetizers like fried squids, spring wrap or egg rolls.



  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed




1. Put the water, garlic, vinegar, sugar and ginger in a saucepan and bring to the boil.

2. When the mixture is cool, add the red peppers, lime juice and soy sauce.
